Thankfully, Weapon Mastery doesn’t reset every season in Apex Legends. It would be truly awful if the Weapon Mastery reset between every season because that would mean all of your grinding and hard work would be meaningless. Warzone 2 DMZ made that mistake and fans were not happy. I’m glad to see Respawn Entertainment not make the same mistake.
Respawn Entertainment has built up Weapon Mastery to be something that players will work through for many seasons to come. Getting 1,000,000 Weapon Mastery XP, let alone 29,000,000 Weapon Mastery XP for each weapon, within one season’s time frame is not possible which is why Weapon Mastery is here to stay.
How does Weapon Mastery work in Apex Legends?
If you are new to Weapon Mastery, it is a system that allows you to earn individual XP and levels for each individual weapon in the game. Every twentieth level, you’ll need to complete a special Trial which is unique to the weapon and is generally not easy. Each weapon reaches full mastery at level 100 which means there are five Trials to complete on each weapon.
