Blizzard to launch Diablo 3 v1.0.5 patch on new public test realm

Recommended Videos

Last week Blizzard sneakily added a new active link in the Diablo 3 launcher which hinted that public test realms were about to be launched for players. With Diablo 3 having come in for a lot of criticism from the players since the game was released, this will give players a chance to test out new features before they are set in stone, and will hopefully allow Blizzard to make any changes quickly based on player feedback.

With news that the PTR is being launched, Blizzard also revealed the full list of v1.0.5 patch changes that players will find on the new PTR servers. Notable changes include new in-game events, new shrines, improved auction house features, the new Monster Power system and the Infernal Machine event. It’s a right treasure trove of updates and the game now finally looks to be moving in the right direction.

Players in the US can set up their PTR account now and we expect Europe will follow some time in the next 24 hours.
