Boats, planes and hedgehogmobiles in new Sonic All-Stars Racing

Sega has announced Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed, the follow-up to racing title Sonic & Sega All-Stars Racing. Due for release in late 2012 on PC, Xbox 360, PS3, Nintendo DS and PS Vita, the game promises to add transforming vehicles to the mix.
That, of course, means the courses will have varying terrain; encompassing land, air and water. Character-wise, you can look forward to racing as Sonic (obviously), Dr Eggman and Super Monkey Ball’s AiAi, plus newcomers that include Gilius Thunderhead of Golden Axe and Vyse of Skies of Arcadia.
Fans of departed studio Bizarre should take note, because the lead designer on this title is reported to be Gareth Wilson (who worked on Blur and Project Gotham Racing at Bizarre Creations).
Have a look at the launch trailer (and a few early screens), below.
