Cyberith Virtualiser hopes to be a step up from the Omni

Cyberith Virtualiser

Another device has appeared in the great effort to get baby-stroller shaped virtual reality contraptions into our living rooms. This new one is called the Cyberith Virtualiser, which sounds suspiciously like something a sinister corporation would be making in a Philip K. Dick novel. The team behind it don’t seem to have a major web presence at the moment, but they have released the video below.

In contrast to the Virtuix Omni, this one appears to offer more vertical movement for jumping and crouching. It also integrates with the Oculus Rift virtual reality visor. Reassuringly, however, it still looks quite silly to use.

What do you think? Is this the next great videogaming flash-in-the-pan fad, or the future of all games as we know it?
