Deep Space 2 Sells Double The Original In Week One

The critically acclaimed horror game Dead Space 2 has seen its sales double those of its original during its first week on sale.
The Xbox 360, PS3 and PC game, which currently has a recorded score of 90 (Xbox 360) on Metacritic as opposed to 89 for the original, topped the games chart on its release.
The original Dead Space, launched in October 2008, only managed to make its debut at number six.
“Dead Space 2 is approaching two million units sold – double the sell-through of the original Dead Space,” EA’s COO John Schappert said during an investor call today.
