As you have probably read already today, Splash Damage announced they were renaming Dirty Bomb to Extraction thanks to a publishing deal with Nexon.

When Dirty Bomb was announced, Splash Damage offered numerous backer packages with extras, and following today’s announcement, it was unclear what would happen with the numerous packages and how it would affect players who have pumped cash into Dirty Bomb. In some cases significant amounts for early Dirty Bomb alpha access.

A post in the Splash Damage forums now clarifies how backers of Dirty Bomb will be affected following the Nexon deal.

You’ll get everything included in your Founder’s Pack. Your digital goods carry right over to Extraction, and you’ll receive any physical goods at game launch (though we’ll do our best to get those to everyone well before then).

Founders will also be first in line for the Closed Beta when that’s ready to launch.

This is good news for anyone who was concerned about what was going to happen with their funds.
