Ex- Blizzard employee Chris Haga and computer science graduate Steve Turner have just launched the Kickstarter for their new company’s Diablo-style action with turn-based gameplay called GUTS. Haga had worked at Blizzard for eight years, most recently on Diablo 3 before forming Big Men Games.
In GUTS you take on the role of a young orphan. A boy whose paternity was forged in a furnace of suffering and you’ll rise up to avenge his sundered home world.
Haga most recently sparked the controversy surrounding comments about Diablo 3 from Gazillion’s David Brevik by stating he felt like he had been “thrown under a bus” on his Facebook page following our interview with Brevik. Needless to say, the video below has beeen trolled by Diablo players who took exception to the Facebook comments but they have added quotes from the trolls into the trailer which is quite amusing.
GUTS is coming to PC, Mac & Linux and is due for release some time next year and you can download an alpha version of the game from the game’s website.
