Ghost Recon Alpha launches, Future Soldier goes gold

The live-action short film Ghost Recon Alpha has launched today, doing a spot of fashionable cross-media promotion for the Ghost Recon: Future Soldier game (which has also chosen today to go gold). That means the title will indeed be available Xbox 360 and PS3 from 22 May and for the PC from 12 June.
Alpha can be viewed in its full 23 minute form at Lovefilm, via the source link below (even in the US it seems; I’ve just tried it). Or, you can watch the trailer (featuring hot men-shooting-at-other-men action), also below.
Characters in the short film will apparently be playable in the full game, and the location used will be a multiplayer map. Ubisoft also says that there’s a hidden unlock code for the PC and Xbox 360 versions of the game in there somewhere, which will give you an exclusive weapon.
