Don’t panic: it’s probably not as complicated as it looks. And hey, even if it is, the soothing tones of Dslyecxi will walk you through it. Everything’s going to be alright.

Dslyecxi has turned his attention to the Zeus mode in his latest Arma 3 Community Guide video.

As per usual, the video provides an insightful look at its subject matter. Other than a basic overview of what Zeus is, you’ll get an idea of how it controls and how best to use it to generate dynamic scenarios for your friends and teammates. The one key point worth reiterating is, likely, that the idea isn’t to beat the players – it’s to create an interesting, challenging, and fun experience for them.

For the unaware, Zeus is an Arma 3 game mode that lets one player acts as gamesmaster for the others, editing the level on the fly. You can set up locations or ambushes, call in air support, spawn and place units and vehicles as you like, modify waypoints, create objectives, and even take direct control of the opposition. While it can be used however you like, the video focuses more on the potential for creating fun co-op scenarios. Judging by what’s in this video, it’s the sort of thing I wish a lot more games had.
