Funcom’s Lego Minifigures Online has expanded into the realms of mythology today, with the addition of Mythology World to the free-to-play game. This means a whole new zone to cause destructive Lego carnage in, plus another 16 minifigures to collect.
Let’s have a look at them, shall we?
I’m liking the Blues Brothers character in the middle there, just behind the Yeti. The pink robot on the end is pretty neat looking as well. Looks like anybody waiting for a classic British policeman, scientist or Bavarian lady will be satisfied too.
Mythology World raises the maximum level cap in the game to 25 and says it includes some sort of boss fight with Hades himself, who’s lurking in the underworld with a bunch of adorable Lego skeletons.
I’ve actually played a little of Lego Minifigures Online, and it endeared itself to me by starting me off with a weeping French clown/mime minifigure who would attack enemies with his black tears. It was kind of great.
There were also quite a few side areas gated behind a “membership” paywall, which was less great, but probably to be expected from a free-to-play MMO.
Anyway, if Lego Minifigures Online is of interest, you can sign up and get it downloaded over here.
