More LucasFilm games mosey onto GOG

Six more LucasFilm games have moseyed onto GOG, including three that haven’t been available digitally before now.

The ones you’ve seen elsewhere are sci-fi adventure The Dig, musical fantasy adventure Loom, and Monkey Island 2: LeChuck’s Revenge Special Edition, which is the special edition of Monkey Island 2: LeChuck’s Revenge. But you knew that. Also, this is quite odd timing considering it was only recently we learned that Loom has “tangled” rights that will likely prevent a remaster or sequel.

The three brand new titles, though? Well! There’s ancient point-and-clicker Zak McKracken and the Alien Mindbenders, which I have a serious soft spot for. There’s combat-y Tomb Raider-alike Indiana Jones and the Emperor’s Tomb. And, finally, there’s Outlaws + Handful of Missions, a Wild West FPS.

I could offer opinions, but… well, I’m not a big fan of Outlaws and I feel it’s horribly dated, but I do really like Zak McKracken, and that’s definitely horribly dated. So, uh. I think I’ll just skip the capsule reviews and let you decide for yourselves, because nostalgia obviously has a part to play in this.

Head on over to GOG’s front page, and you should see the magnificent six proudly posing at the top of your screen.
