Portal 2 DLC will cost you £0.00

Yesterday we had word that Portal 2 would be getting some DLC. Today, Valve has confirmed a few more details and announced it will be free on all platforms.
Whether you’re playing on PC, Mac, PS3 (well, probably not right now) or Xbox 360, the extra stuff will not cost you a penny. That wouldn’t be terribly exciting if the additions sounded rubbish – but good news! They don’t sound rubbish.

In fact, there’ll be “new test chambers for players, leaderboards, challenge mode for single and multiplayer modes” on offer, plus the thrilling prospect of “and more.” Interestingly, it’s being labelled as ‘DLC #1,’ which suggests more on the way.
The DLC release is scheduled for “this summer.” See why it might be a good idea to get hold of Portal 2 by reading John’s glowing review.
