Public access to PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale beta begins 16 Oct.

If you happen to hold a PlayStation Plus subscription, you’ll be able to join the PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale open beta on PS3 when it begins tomorrow. For those without a Plus subscription, the beta begins next week on 23 October. PS Vita owners can dive in from tomorrow no matter whether they have PS Plus.

The beta is scheduled to run until 30 October. Here’s what the limited beta will let you do:

  • Play as Kratos, Sweet Tooth, Colonel Radec, Sly Cooper, PaRappa, and Fat Princess.
  • Battle in the Metropolis and Hades stages.
  • Try out four-player online tournaments and 2 v 2 online tournaments. For the 2 v 2 games, Sony wil be supporting friend invites.
