Rockstar New England Cuts Jobs

The Rockstar New England studio made some of its staff redundant yesterday. At least 10 percent of the studio was cut according to Kotaku, which heard news from numerous sources this morning.According to those sources, the whole Quality Assurance (QA) department was closed, along with a few artists and staff from other sections of the company. The reason is that Rockstar apparently isn’t passionate about having internal QA departments, wanting one QA studio. The company has been working on an unannounced project but there’s no word on if these cuts will seriously affect it.Rockstar’s severance package has apparently been “fairly generous,” and some of the former staff have even been given help by their former employer on finding a new job.
