Stellaris “European only” mod returns to Steam

Yesterday Paradox removed the Stellaris European Phenotype and Names Only (White Humans) mod from Steam and it has returned today with a new name.

In a bizarre update from the mod author, it’s back as “an experiment to test how far Paradox will lie about banning” the original mod. The post from the author goes on to read:

So here are the ‘rules’ imposed by PARADOX:

  1. I can’t mention a certain non-offensive commonly used word
  2. I can’t link to my YouTube Channel – Paradox specifically slandered it.
  3. NO COMMENTS THAT ARE EVEN REMOTELY TRIGGERRING FOR SWEDES

Please, any comments that will trigger Paradox and send them into an irrational fit of lies will be removed.

These are the three “reasons” why my other mod was taken down – so lets enforce them, eh?

If you are going to leave a comment, talk as though you are talking to the Stasi.

Since Paradox never contacted me and only gave conflicting reports to gaming media about why they removed my mod, I can only go off of what they said. If we abide by these new rules that they just made up we should be able to prevent it getting taken down.

The mod is now back in the Steam Workshop with less inflammatory language and there’s not going to be any further comment on the mod from Paradox following their reiteration of the rules yesterday. With the description now changed, this Stellaris mod falls within their guidelines.
