Valve’s project mailing lists show Half Life 3, Left 4 Dead 3 and Source 2

Half Life 3 is something most PC gamers can only dream of but there may be a glimmer of hope based on leaked images from Valve’s internal project tracking software called Jira.

Images leaKed to Valvetime indicate various project groups which include Half Life 3, Left 4 Dead 3 and Source 2. These internal project tickets were recently open to the public by accident before Valve plugged the public access hole.

The images show mailing groups for games that most PC gamers would love to see including HL3, although all indications are that HL3 is either in very early development or in current suspension. According to observations by the Valvetime guys, these lists appear to be current based on the staff names that are listed, and they are legitimate.

We can only hope that the documents are indeed current and Half Life 3 is still in the back of their minds, even if it has been placed in limbo.

Perhaps we’ll hear something before E3 next year once the new consoles are in the hands of gamers. Let’s hope so, it’s long overdue. Hurry up Valve!

Thanks to Valvetime where there are also more images to pour over if you want to see what’s been going on with the tracker.
