World of Warcraft: Warlords of Draenor connection woes continue

World of Warcraft: Warlords of Draenor has been out for a couple of days and there’s still problems.

It’s been a busy couple of days for the blizzard support team as the game has really suffered from connection and population problems since the Warlords of Draenor expansion launched. Throughout the night Blizzared has been working on connection and stability issues providing updates for players every couple of hours.

The influx of returning players has caused massive queues when the realms are actually online. Blizzard has not only been flat-out trying to fix bugs that have been spotted, but they’ve also been carrying out more hardware upgrades. As of writing the EU realms were on a rolling restart with the North American realms still down but “internal testing continues as scheduled”.

The community is becoming more restless as the days pass while these issues are being sorted out and players continue to complain about the massive queues when the realms are actually live. Some players are faring better than others and  managing to stay connected for a while, but with the maintenance and upgrades taking place, it’s all a bit hit and miss at the moment.

It’s not ideal but we’ve been here before. When any new content releases for WoW there’s always connection issues and it looks like Blizzard are working hard to get the realms sorted out. Patience is key, it will all stabilise eventually, it always does.

We are a little surprised that Blizzard has been caught out again though, it’s not like they didn’t know stacks of players would be returning to the game for such a major expansion.
