Sonic Boom

SEGA and BioWare have announced the return of Sonic, but this time to the DS and as a RPG.

The story will start with Knuckles being kidnapped two years after defeating Eggman.  Although Eggman will be in this version of Sonic, he won’t be the main baddie with  BioWare allegedly trying to make him a more credible baddie.

The title has been announced as Sonic Chronicles: The Dark Brotherhood and will see a completely stylus driven game.  In addition to this players will be able to chose one of 11 characters, each with their own strength and each customisable as you level up through the game.

As well as customisable characters, characters can work together in the game by combining special attacks and utilising team attacks.  This coupled with a turn-based game makes for a much more interesting and enjoyable game play.

The release date has yet to be announced, but it is expected to be out sometime this year.
