Nvidia is sponsoring a Hearthstone tournament, if you fancy your chances

I’ve never played Hearthstone, so I should stay far away from this contest – but maybe you (I’m talking to YOU) have the necessary skills to compete. It’s a Pro/Amateur international event, so anybody can sign up for the tournament. Nvidia is taking applications over here.

If the thrill of international online Hearthstone isn’t enough of a draw for you, there’s going to be a $25k prize pool and qualification points at stake for the Hearthstone World Championship. Also, the 16 amateur players who make the qualification brackets will each get an Nvidia Shield.

Registration is open through 19 March, and the group stages will take place between 26 March and 14 May.

Contestants will be whittled down to 16 pros and 16 amateurs, who will meet in a “best of 5, single elimination bracket playoff” on 16 May. If you make it, remember to compile your best 1980s motivational tournament music for inspiration.
