Fatshark wants to tell you about crossbows in upcoming multiplayer, melee-action title War of the Roses. Apparently, they’re slow, awkward and hitting anything with one is about as likely as Lancashire besting Yorkshire at anything (ie; no chance whatsoever). So why even try to use one, then?
Aha, because they’ll kill someone in a single hit.
This new developer diary also goes into details of other projectile weapons, and hints at a sort of ‘grappling with your enemy’ system the team is looking to implement. Also of note is the mention of a Gears of War style active reload system.
