You ‘need’ a controller to play Assassin’s Creed 3 on PC, says creative…

Assassin’s Creed 3’s creative director, Alex Hutchinson, has said that all PC players looking to play the game should have a controller.
In fact, there won’t be much emphasising on supporting a mouse/keyboard setup at all:
“I don’t see us investing hugely in a mouse and keyboard setup,” said Hutchinson.
“I think if you want to play on PC and you want to play Assassin’s Creed, you have a controller.”
While action games of this type are generally designed with a controller in mind, this kind of statement is surely not going to go down well with PC gamers.
There’s no reason why Ubisoft couldn’t assign a small team (a single person even) to make sure the mouse/keyboard setup works properly for the game – rather than essentially telling people they should buy a controller.
