Obsidian have today announced that the Pillars of Eternity expansion, The White March – Part 1 will be released on August 25th 2015. The first expansion to the RPG will include new rogue and monk companions, party-based AI system, multi-class abilities and a new snow-themed realms to explore.

Patch 2.0, also due soon, will be available to all players regardless if they have the expansion or not. That will address bugs and balance changes as you’d expect but also add some new features such as control over AI behaviour and range and accuracy indicators.
