Mirror’s Edge Catalyst shows movement and combat gameplay

Confirmation, at last, that Faith will be able to both move and fight some people in Mirror’s Edge Catalyst. I’m being needlessly snarky there, I’m sorry. But there is something quite inherently funny about a publisher hyping up a video in which you see a character move.

It makes a bit more sense for Mirror’s Edge Catalyst, in fairness, as the game is all about parkour and smooth traversal. DICE have put together a page with a few words on it about Faith’s running abilities and a couple of gadgets she has at her disposal.

There are a couple of paragraphs about the rather nifty wall-running, flipping, and kicking she can do to sort out any nearby guards, too. Again, this has an accompanying video.

See them both, below. Mirror’s Edge Catalyst is coming out in May, preceded by a beta.
