Crossout

Crossout launches on Steam Early Access

Crossout, the game which sounds like some sort of unholy union between Scrapheap Challenge and Robot Wars, is now available through Steam’s Early Access system. You’re basically buying into the closed beta at this point (the $30 Early Access price gets you the ‘Westland Warrior’ pack), with an open beta planned in Q4 2016.

That means everybody purchasing during Early Access will get “the ‘Bloodhound’, a unique armored vehicle equipped with two powerful ‘Sledgehammer’ shotguns, 2000 in-game coins, featuring an exclusive character portrait and special dark-red paint”. That stuff should all be available immediately in Crossout, and will be “reset and reassigned” to accounts when open beta kicks off.

The version launching on Steam is said to have “all the latest updates”, including new PvE missions and additional maps. Paul had a look at an early version of Crossout during GamesCom 2015. Have a read of what he thought, here. The latest trailer is below.
