Ubisoft has released the first piece of art for Far Cry 5 and this is going to keep fans busy for a while. This single image is steeped in symbolism and fans are now attempting to decode some of the less obvious pieces of the art.
To get a really good idea of what’s going on you need to zoom right into the shot and we have made the large shot available, it’s pretty big at 30Mb so be warned.
So what can we see? Well, this is a depiction of the Last Supper with an alternative American flag with iron crosses instead of stars. There are also numerous cryptic tattoos on the characters’ hands. On the beer bottle, the brewery says it was established in 1775 which is the year the American Revolution began. There’s likely some religious cult at play here too but it’s hard to get the full picture of what’s going on what wth burning trucks and a barn on fire in the right.
