MXM players receive boosts following DDOS attacks

Since the launch of NCSoft’s new MOBA  MXM (Master X Master) the servers have been under periodic DDOS attacks. NCSoft has been keeping abreast of the situation with regular updates but they have continued. Only yesterday Guild Wars 2 servers were also experiencing issues.

NCSoft issued a further statement today regarding the attacks and are also offering boosts to players that have been impacted by the spate of attacks.

We have been enduring direct denial of service attacks on our servers since last week, and that has been causing on and off latency issues and player disconnects from the game. We understand these issues have negatively impacted your game experience, and we want to thank you for your patience by offering the following items for all players affected:

  • 1 Hour XP Boost 25% (x3)
  • 1 Hour Gold Boost 25% (x3)
  • 1 Hour Auto Collector (x3)
  • Dispatch Ticket (x5)

These items will be delivered to your account by Tuesday, July 11.

As these attacks could continue, players should keep an eye on the  @PlayMXMOps account if they escalate.
