Bioware confirmed to be working on a new Dragon Age

It’s common knowledge that Bioware’s next big game will be Anthem but fans of Dragon Age have been wondering if a new game was on the horizon.

Bioware’s Marl Darrah hit Twitter earlier today to comment on his Anthem work but also notes that there are people at Bioware “hard at work” on a new Dragon Age, despite the fact it had previously been shelved by EA. Darrah is in the perfect position to comment on progress as he’s the executive producer on both Anthem and a new Dragon Age.

There is still no official word on what the new Dragon Age will be called or what Bioware’s plans are for it, but at least fans know that a team is on the case at Bioware.

In related news, a report that appeared on Kotaku also cites ‘sources’ saying that Anthem will not appear until 2019 and development has not exactly been going smoothly.

Ever since the release Mass Effect Andromeda and the disappointing reception that received from gamers, there have been all kinds of shake-ups at the studio by EA. Bioware will be hoping that they can make Anthem a huge hit or it could find itself in hot water.
