Totally Accurate Battlegrounds from developer Landfall has been released on Steam for free. This game is a parody of the battle royale genre where “a bunch of physics-based weirdos fight it out on an island, everything is silly and possibly a bit buggy”. No, they are not describing PUBG.
The game was originally made as an April Fool’s parody of the battle royale genre and it certainly looks like it. According to the dev team, this was supposed to be out for April Fool’s day, but due to networking issues, they didn’t finish it in time. Previous games they have released for April Fool’s day have been Supertruck, a Superhot and Clustertruck mash-up, and TABZ, a mix of TABS and DAY-Z.
Totally Accurate Battlegrounds comes with a huge map, everything is physics-based, there’s customisation, and some mad looking outfits. If you want to get this for free you have 100 hours to grab it and then after that, it will be priced $4.99.
