Dead Island: Riptide Confirmed As Whole New Game

Publisher Deep Silver recently announced its Dead Island sequel, Dead Island: Riptide. Not a lot is known about the game as of right now but Deep Silver’s Aubrey Norris has offered some insight.

The game’s price of $50, a whole $10 cheaper than what most retail games are sold for, was inquired about by Sleuths at Ripten via Twitter. Norris replied, confirming that the price was “not a placeholder” and that Dead Island: Riptide was “not a remake” of the original game. Dead Island: Riptide will be sold for $50 due to it’s release at “the end of a console cycle”.

Dead Island: Riptide will be released for the Xbox 360, Playstation 3, and PC. An “extensive review” is also set for sometime this summer.
