Remedy Say Next Gen Will Be a ‘Quantum Leap’

Head of franchise development at Remedy, Oskari Hakkinen, has said that they are currently developing for the next-gen consoles and they are significantly more powerful than their predecessors.

Hakkinen said:

“We are working as usual, first with a relatively small team on a next-generation project. One wonders, yes always is: Can the new consoles really be that much better than the previous Rest assured: it’s you, it is a quantum leap.”

In March, Remedy stated that they were looking for new talent to develop an unannounced project which would be intended for “future generation consoles”.

Of course Sony or Microsoft have not official announced their plans to release another console, although Microsoft have more or less admitted it will happen recently. But EA Labels president, Frank Gibeau, also recently teased that he has seen new hardware from both Sony and Microsoft.

It shouldn’t be too much longer before we start to hear more about these systems now, and with it of course, the sort of leap we can expect from the next generation.
