Dark Souls 2 Gets A T Rating

The ESRB have given the massively anticipated Dark Souls 2 a T rating which means that it is suitable for gamers aged 13 and over. The last two games in the series, Dark Souls and Demon’s Souls each received a Mature rating which means the content is only suitable for people aged 17 and over. Make the jump for more info.

This news may have some fans of the series worried that the franchise might be losing its hardcore edge but based on the screenshots and trailers, the game still looks as dark and difficult as ever. You can read the description of Dark Souls 2 on its ESRB page which certainly suggests the game will be as dark as ever. WARNING! There are minor spoilers concerning a certain boss.

Dark Souls is due to be released on PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and PC on March 11th in North America, March 13th in Japan and March 14th in Europe. The PC release will come shortly after the console editions and there have been rumours the game may come out on the PS4 and Xbox One. Prepare to die…again and again and again….
