On launch day in China, they were able to amass as many as 760,000 players. In the span of two months, that has grown to 3.8 million players.
Guild Wars 2 now has a player base of 7 million worldwide, in only a span of 2 years. It’s very strong performance for what is a very well reviewed PC game, that may have fallen off the radar of US gamers due to the popularity of consoles, but has done very well regardless in the rest of the world.
