A New Tony Hawk Game is Set to Grind in 2015

As a fan of the Tony Hawk Pro Skater series, I can say it has been quite some time since a skateboarding game sporting the extreme athletes name has seen success.

It seemed that new projects, like Tony Hawk: Shred, would have found a home on the last-gen consoles, even grinding the coattails of the Nintendo Wii’s success. But, instead of sticking the landing, it ended being nothing but ‘sketch.

In the efforts of resuscitation, Tony Hawk has announced a new game in development via his official Twitter feed.

The most recent additions to the series were HD upgrades of original Tony Hawk’s: Pro Skater titles. However, the games were littered with bugs, accompanied by seemingly endless mishaps with ragdoll physics. After personally playing endless hours in both the original series and the remake, there left a sour taste even with the addition of modern skaters and designs.

There is no other news quite yet for the title. Robomodo was behind the HD remakes, delivering a PC release. The team has not been mentioned in regards to the newest project.
