ESL DQsThree eSports Teams For Counter-Strike Global Offensive Match-Fixing

ESL has decided to disqualify three teams from an offline Counter-Strike Global Offensive tournament after they were found guilty of match fixing.

This dishonor has been granted to Epsilon eSports, former ESC Gaming and WinneR. All three will not be allowed to participate in the upcoming ESL One Katowice 2015, qualifier for the championships.

ESL will share details in the future, but two things can be gleaned from this:

1) It’s distressing to see these many eSports teams willing to compromise the integrity of competitive gaming for self interest, and
2) We can be hopeful if TOs (tournament organizers) like ESL hold to enforcing the rules that this will happen less frequently in the future.
