Nival has made the decision to drop plans for a free to play, premium pricing model for upcoming World War 2 RTS Blitzkrieg 3.

Instead, the game will be priced and sold the traditional way.

Nival CEO Sergey Orlovsky shared this statement:

The pendulum is swinging once again when it comes to how consumers want to pay for their games. The market is shifting back towards a cleaner, simpler and more transparent model of one-time payments. This trend inspired us to return to the classic distribution model of the series, thus honoring the series’ traditions.

The game is currently in closed alpha and will release next year. You can watch the alpha trailer below.
