Warning: Minecraft Vulnerability Has Been Unchecked For Two Years Now

Developer Ammar Askar has revealed to the world that Mojang has not worked on a vulnerability in Minecraft, in spite of being informed for two years now.

The vulnerability allows any user to crash a hosting server, by creating objects that overwhelm the remote servers. You can read the technical details here, but the bigger issue here is that Askar’s claim that Mojang did not act on this issue in spite of having known it for all this time.

Askar did reveal that Mojang has started working on it since he went public with the information, but they have yet to find a fix.
