DICE says that you are.
EA DICE, the development studio behind 2008’s ‘parkour-shooter’ Mirror’s Edge, believes that players are “ready” for a sequel.
Referencing the “huge” fanbase following of the game, DICE producer Patrick Liu believes that admitted the first had some issues but that there’s a big enough market to a follow-up worthwhile.
“I think it’s something that people are ready to get into again,” said Liu.
“…there’s a huge fan following, it’s almost like a cult. And we know what strengths and weaknesses we had in that game. If we were to release a new game, we’d know what to improve and how to reach a broader audience. So I definitely think there’s a market there.”
Of course, all eyes are currently focused on DICE’s upcoming Battlefield 3 – a game on which Patrick Liu is also producer. You can read our latest hands-on with BF3’s campaign here to find out why we think it’s following in Call of Duty’s footsteps with set-pieces, linear paths and more set-pieces.
