Fans of Notch’s Minecraft will be pleased to hear that the PC version of the blocky building game has now sold a whopping 8 million units.
In a Tweet from Markus Persson he simply says:
The PC version of Minecraft just passed 8 million sales! My face is making grinning sounds, so I assume it’s grinning!
I think everyone’s face would be grinning if you had shifted 8 million copies of a game. Well done to Mojang for proving that word of mouth can sell games.
