Hero of Hyrule helping statues.

Making your return back to the Temple of Time in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom can be quite nostalgic. Not only can you literally find the Nostalgic paraglider fabric there, but talking to the large Goddess statue will start a very different conversation than usual. Normally, praying at these statues lets you spend Light of Blessings for heart containers and stamina wheels. But this time, the statue needs your help finding its trapped self. We’ll explain how to find the trapped Temple of Time statue in Tears of the Kingdom.

How to help the Goddess Statue at the Temple of Time

The Great Plateau was where Link woke up at the beginning of Breath of the Wild. If you return there in Tears of the Kingdom, there are quite a few valuables and quests. This puzzle in particular is the puzzle that comes before the start of another quest, so don’t ignore it. Once you talk to the large Goddess Statue inside the temple, she’ll explain that she’s trapped underwater behind a stone gate on this Great Plateau.

This statement is quite confusing if you’re not sure where to look. I, for one, started at the River of the Dead, but that wasn’t even close. In reality, you’ll need to go to this location on your map, on the ground beneath the Great Plateau.

This is where an opening used to be, which is at a gate by a body of water. Once you arrive, you should notice the stone rubble jammed into the gate. Use a Time Bomb Zonai device, or throw a Bomb Flower at it.

Now that the blockage erupted, the water can now spill out of it. Walk through, and you’ll notice a Bargainer statue stuck in the ground. This is the statue connected to the Goddess statue at the Temple of Time. It will tell you to head back there.

After making your trek back to the Goddess statue, she’ll thank you for freeing her, or at least a part of her. This will start the quest ‘A Call from the Depths’, requesting that you find her four eyes below the chasms on the plateau. That’s all it took to figure out how to find the trapped Temple of Time statue in Tears of the Kingdom!
