Knotroot Rods are an item in LEGO Fortnite that is tricky to find. If you’re struggling to get Knotroot Rods in LEGO Fortnite, then this guide is going to help you out.
Lego Fortnite: Knotroot Rods location and how to get it
The only location we know of so far that has Knotroot Rods is in caves. Find a cave by looking around rocky and mountainous areas. Make sure that you have food and Charms before entering the cave because it is tough in there.

When you’re in a cave, look for the roots that are tied into knots. This is, as the description suggests, Knotroot. However, if you hit it with a Common Forest Axe, you’ll only get wood. To get Knotroot Rods, you need to break them with an Uncommon Forest Axe or higher rarity.
In my experience, caves usually have several chests, which is also a good source of Knotroot Rods. As you explore, you’ll find the chests tucked away on ledges and in corners. The problem is, you’ll also find Rollers and Skeletons as well. These enemies are tough to defeat and they don’t leave you alone. My advice is to be as quick as you can to evade and outrun the Skeletons as you search for chests.
When you do find a chest, make sure to scan its contents quickly. If you stay there too long looking and sorting, the Skeletons that are chasing you throughout the cave will damage you. Of course, you can fight the Skeletons, but in the early stages, this can be difficult.
After thoroughly searching a cave and finding around 10 chests, I only found one Knotroot Rod in one chest. My experience leads me to believe Knotroot Rods in chests are rare, but it’s still a great way to find them.
After you’ve searched an entire cave and the chests within it, go to another cave and repeat this process. If you want to save a lot of time, the best way to farm Knotroot Rods is to get an Uncommon Forest Axe and hack them down.
