Wasteland 2 screens depict wastelands, post-apocalyptic cities

Wasteland 2 - 5

When you think of the word “wasteland” what do you think of? Mad Max? Fallout 3? Bridgwater? Pah. If your response is not “Interplay’s top-down RPG from the late 80s”, then I sneer at you.

Don’t worry, though, because you’ll get your chance to sneer at others. Wasteland 2 is being developed by inXile Entertainment thanks to a rather successful Kickstarter, and they’ve just released some new screenshots. Play this, give it 25 years, and then you can sneer at people too!

The screenshots in question include two environmental screenshots – one of Highpool and one of some other town – as well as three called “Desert” that show off combat and the interface. They look rather neat. Check ’em out below.

Wasteland 2 is due out later this year. Get ready to pretend you played the first one and practice your sneer.
