Paradox Interactive has announced today that strategy title World War One Gold Edition is available now on PC.
Despite a myriad of war-based videogames, the number of games set in the first world war era is comparatively small. Those that do exist tend to either be flight sims or in-depth strategy – and World War One Gold Edition is firmly in that latter camp.
Paradox has a reputation for publishing hardcore, turn-based strategy games, so don’t expect any FPS trench action. Instead, prepare for overhead tactical maps, vital supply lines and actually needing to read a manual to understand what the hell is going on. You can also expect numerous ‘Gold Edition’ updates such as AI and interface improvements.
World War One Gold Edition will be “available for download at all major digital download portals.”
