Crisp Thinking Releases MMO Tool, NetModerator

Crisp Thinking has released details of its latest software, NetModerator, which is designed to protect MMO gamers from annoying in-game activity such as gold selling and griefing.

The technology, based on software designed to protect children while online, is meant to shield players from antisocial behaviour, as well as cheating and undesirable activities such as spawn camping and kill-tagging.

“Gold farmers, cheaters and griefers are huge threats to the long-term success of any MMO. Yet, the industry has had to adopt a passive model — waiting for players to report the problems after their experience has been ruined,” said Adam Hildreth, CEO of Crisp. “NetModerator for MMOs gives companies a weapon that lets them actively detect and deal with problems before most players even have a chance to notice.”

The software is currently rigged to work directly with many games from companies including Sony Online Entertainment, Nexon and Cartoon Network, but works with other online games too. Find out more at the official site
