CrimeCraft, based around gang warfare, features in-game drugs that benefit characters who use them. According to the ratings board, players are given incentives and rewards for using the drugs. The board was also concerned that the similarities between in-game drug-taking and real-life drug abuse was too similar.

“Boost parallels the names, chemical elements, administration, treatment, and addictive elements of real-world proscribed drugs, and when used provide quantifiable benefits to a player’s character. Australia is known for taking a hard stance on games; Fallout 3 was initially banned last year before being amended. Left 4 Dead 2 also had to be censored before being allowed on sale.
