Valve games now available on Impulse

Valve has made its games available on Impulse, GameStop’s download service. Five games are available at present, The Half-Life Complete Collection, Left 4 Dead 1 + 2, The Orange Box and Portal 2.
However, if you do buy one of the above from Impulse, you’ll need Steam to activate them anyway. Of course, that means that Valve are doing anything but lessening the impact of Steam – in reality they’re opening up the platform (potentially) to more users.
In a statement typical of GameStop’s overzealous PR output, the retailer explains that all of this is good because of the crowbars:
Some of the greatest, most creative games of the past decade (and the one before that) are now available! Legendary developer/publisher Valve is now available! Whether you enjoy hitting things with crowbars, the power of gravity, making holes in walls or making large holes in the undead, Valve’s games will suck you in and won’t let you go! There’s more quality gameplay here than you can shake a crowbar at!
Yeah, ok, calm down.
