Doom can now legally drink in the US and to celebrate check out all this lovely art from the classic.

Yesterday John Romero was busy tweeting art asset images to celebrate the fact that the game had reached the ripe old age of 21. I know, it’s hard to believe that it was 21 years ago that we were messing about with the game on shareware floppies and marvelling at it’s amazing graphics. I still remember playing it on my trusty 486SX25. It was amazing!

Looking through this large collection of images brings back great memories of blasting through the demonic forces, hearing the monsters grunt, the great sliding door sound, and of course the super powerful BFG that annihilated everything .

Gamers these days will probably find all this art rather rubbish, but trust me, this was cutting edge stuff that would bring fear to anyone who played.
