Why couldn't they just have map markers?

Season 3 of Warzone is full of new content and strongly focuses on teamwork. Squads are rewarded for working together like never before, and the new Scanner mechanic is a big part of that. Here are all Rebirth Island Biometric Scanner locations in Warzone listed and how they work.

How to use Biometric Scanners in Warzone

There are 10 Biometric Scanners scattered across Rebirth Island. You can interact with them once per match to check your stats. The Scanner will also create a Keycard that goes into your backpack along with a respectable XP and Cash bonus.

You can use the Keycard at any Buy Station on the map to access additional purchase options. Naturally, if you kill an opponent who has a Keycard in their bag, you can take it for yourself. Just keep in mind that your enemies can do the same to you!

Keycards come in several rarities, which determine what you can get with them at the Buy Zone. I’ve not found anything above Platinum, and I typically get Bronze or Silver. With this in mind, I hope you have better luck than I do. Here are all the Rarities:

  • Bronze
  • Silver
  • Gold
  • Platinum
  • Polyatomic
  • Orion

Teamwork is the name of the game in Season 3. While we don’t have exact numbers, you have a better chance of securing a rarer Keycard if your squad is nearby.

Unfortunately, Biometric Scanners don’t appear on the map. Even though there are 10 of them on Rebirth Island, they are tough to find. Fortunately, I’ve tracked them all down, so you don’t have to.

Here’s where to find them on the map, with an explanation of each location:

  • Stronghold: Inside the larger building to the north of the POI. This one is easy to find as it’s on the wall by the door.
  • Harbor: You’ll find this one Inside the small square building to the east of the POI. Head inside and into the smaller room to the north.
  • Prison: This scanner is on the 2nd floor between two narrow flights of stairs. Prison is a hot drop at the best of times, so I don’t recommend using it unless your squad has already secured the area.
  • Headquarters: Enter the center building of the POI and proceed downstairs into the basement for the Scanner. This one is right after the stairwell, so you can’t miss it.
  • Living Quarters: You can find The Scanner in one of the small ‘cross-shaped’ structures just north of the large building.
  • Factory: The Scanner is on the 2nd floor, by a staircase, right in the middle of the building.
  • Chemical Eng: You’ll find this Scanner on the ground floor toward the north of the building. It’s easy to miss if you’re coming from the north, as it’s right beside a doorway, and you can walk straight past.
  • Bioweapons: This Scanner is easy to find as it’s outside on the wall under the metal staircase. You’re pretty exposed if you go for this one, but it can be worth using later in a match.
  • Industry: The Industry Scanner is on the ground floor against the north wall, right in the middle of the building. You can easily miss this one if you enter the building from either side. If you don’t want to search, enter the building through the door with the screen above it, and it’ll be directly in front of you.
  • Control Center: Finally, the Control Center Scanner is on the outside of the building to the Northeast. It is pretty easy to find and usually safe, as most battles around this POI take place inside.

These are the locations for every Biometric Scanner on the map. They are functionally identical but you’ll find some are safer to use than others. You don’t need to use these scanners every match, but it’s good to know where they are and you’ll need to visit two Scanners for a challenge in the Blaze Up event.

Do I need to visit Biometric Scanners in Rebirth Islands?

Ultimately, you don’t need to use the Scanners, but I recommend doing so if you’re nearby. Rebirth Island is a brutal map, as there are so many players crammed into it. Don’t expect to reach the Scanners every match, but it’s a good idea to make a mental note of their locations. I’ve not managed to get much from the Keycards during my time on Rebirth Island, but I’m not always with my team, which drops their rarity.

Season 3 is full of systems that reward team-focused play. Even regular Field Upgrades like Battle Rage have a squad-focused variant. Stick with your squad, and you’ll have, and you’ll have a much easier time clutching out those wins.
