Mount & Blade II: Bannerlord and more games get DLSS updates this month

Speed, glorious speed.

For many with an RTX graphics card, Nvidia’s DLSS can seem like magic. The AI-based rendering technology can vastly improve graphical fidelity for games, all the while upping the framerate. In other words, with it enabled, games can look and play better. Once you try it out, it’s only natural for you to desire it in as many games as possible. Luckily for you, and all PC players by proxy, Nvidia has been steadily increasing the list of games with DLSS. Today, the company announced that more games are being updated with the technology this month, including the popular Mount & Blade II: Bannerlord.

The list of DLSS compatible games continues to grow in December. Nvidia is not only adding the aforementioned Bannerlord, but also MinecraftMoonlight Blade, and Crsed: FOAD. The announcement page mentions the free-to-play Scavengers, which got its update in October. However, in today’s post, the company provided a graphic to show the difference between DLSS on or off. And yes, the results are nice.

The DLSS-updated games will display a noticeable performance boost. Nvidia shows Bannerlord improving by up to 50 fps at 4K for many RTX cards with DLSS enabled. The update for Bannerlord is “coming this month.” Crsed, with DLSS on, improves by 40% at 4K, with cards from RTX 2060 and beyond reaching over 90 frames per second. Performance in Moonlight Blade improves dramatically, and with ray tracing and max settings at 4K it goes beyond 70 fps for most RTX GPUs. Minecraft with RTX launched out of beta earlier today. However, to play it at 4K with DLSS on you’ll need at least a 2080 Ti for 60 frames or higher.

More for the pile

Of course, these aren’t the only games getting DLSS this month. We can’t forget about Cyberpunk 2077, which is coming out in only a couple of days. The game will also include DLSS, but Nvidia hasn’t provided a graphic to show how the technology improves the game. Honestly, anything would help, considering how many reports we’ve heard about the game’s bugs.
