Best FJX Horus loadout in MW3, Warzone, and Warzone Mobile

The best attachments, perks, and class setup for the FJX Horus.

The newly released FJX Horus is the perfect fit for aggressive Call of Duty players who want to dive headfirst into the action in Modern Warfare 3, Warzone, and Warzone Mobile. Regardless of your preferred platform, the FJX Horus absolutely shreds enemies at close range.

Added in the Season Three update, this highly mobile, fast-firing submachine gun boasts best-in-class mobility and handling for close-range encounters. As you might expect, the tradeoff for this mobility is high recoil. As such, the best FJX Horus build focuses on controlling the weapon’s recoil and making it more accurate at long distances. It’s never going to replace a dedicated assault rifle, but you can achieve some surprising results with this SMG.

Best FJX Horus Attachments

Since the FJX Horus already has excellent handling and mobility, the best attachment setup for it prioritizes recoil control and gun kick control to ensure a smooth shooting experience.

  • Optic: Mk. 3 Reflector
  • Barrel: Mantis Heavy Barrel
  • Muzzle: JAK BFB
  • Underbarrel: Holger Vertical Grip
  • Magazine: 48-Round Mag

The FJX Horus has decent iron sights, but you’ll be better off replacing them with an optic of your choice. We prefer the Mk. 3 Reflector like many Call of Duty community members, but the Slimline Pro, Slate Reflector, Nydar Model 2023, and Cronen Mini Pro are all solid choices. You can also just use the iron sights if you’d rather free up a slot for another attachment.

At a slight penalty to ADS speed, the Mantis Heavy Barrel will make the FJX Horus much easier to control while firing. The JAK BFB will also help with recoil control since it’s one of the best muzzle attachments in the game for that as long as you don’t mind the increased radar detection penalty. The FJX Horus is all about going loud and getting in close anyway, though.

The Holger Vertical Grip will also make the weapon much more accurate with a slight penalty to ADS speed, but again, the FJX Horus is naturally snappy so you won’t feel the decrease at all. Finally, the 48-Round Mag ensures that you won’t get caught off guard while reloading since the base magazine size on this SMG is a bit small. If you’re not playing Warzone, however, you can remove it and attach another attachment like a stock to the FJX Horus.

Best FJX Horus Class Setup and Perks

Since the FJX Horus has you covered in close-range firefights, your secondary weapon should be able to take care of long-range encounters both in Warzone and standard multiplayer.

As such, we recommend using the Overkill Vest so you can bring a sniper rifle with you. We recommend the XRK Stalker since it’s lightweight and matches the intended rushing playstyle of the FJX Horus perfectly. You can also use the new MORS sniper rifle, too.

Warzone Mobile players should select the Warden or Scout perk packages. For equipment and perks in Modern Warfare 3 and Warzone, the FJX Horus works beautifully with the usual rusher kit.

  • Tactical: Stun Grenade
  • Lethal: Thermite
  • Gloves: Marksman Gloves
  • Boots: Covert Sneakers
  • Gear: Ghost T/V Camo

Stuns and thermites are great for both Warzone and multiplayer, but you can swap out the Thermite for a standard frag grenade if you prefer. We don’t recommend changing the perks around, though, since each of them is essential for the FJX Horus. Marksman Gloves, Covert Sneakers, and Ghost T/V Camo are perfect for jumping around corners and getting the drop on your enemies.

While the FJX Horus isn’t for every type of Call of Duty player, it will surely become a staple in both Warzone and multiplayer because of its high rate of fire and great damage output. It’s an SMG designed with sweaty players in mind, and that’s perfect for people who basically live on Rebirth Island.
