3 Best One Shot Sniper Loadouts in Warzone 2 DMZ

Boom, Headshot!

For the longest time, Sniper Rifles felt like they didn’t have a place in Warzone 2 as they couldn’t kill in a single shot. Every other weapon class can down opponents in a fraction of a second, making Sniper Rifles a hard sell, until now. Several rifles can now kill in that coveted single Shot with specific attachments. There are some caveats, but let me show you the 3 best One Shot Sniper Loadouts in Warzone 2 DMZ.

The 3 Best One Shot Sniper Loadouts in Warzone 2 DMZ

To enable One Shot kills, Sniper Rifles must be Bolt-Action and use Explosive Ammunition. The only exception is the SP-X 80, which I’ll cover later. Explosive Ammunition has a low Bullet Velocity to balance out the instant kill potential. In practice, this means the round is slow and makes distant targets hard to hit. Explosive Ammunition is the final unlock for each Rifle as well, which means it’ll take a while to earn.

MCPR-300

The MCPR-300 has the fastest Reload and Sprint to Fire speeds of the Bolt Action Rifles. The Reload speed is a huge selling point, especially when you’re learning how to tame the Velocity of Explosive Rounds

MCPR-300 Attachments

  • Laser: FSS OLE-V Laser
  • Muzzle: Nilsound 90
  • Ammunition: .300 MAG Explosive
  • Magazine: 5 Round Mag
  • Optic: Schlager Night View

The Night Vision Scope may seem odd, but it has a fast ADS speed and counters Smoke Grenades. The Nilsound 90 gives us extra Bullet Velocity, which we use to offset the penalty from the Explosive Rounds. The 5 Round Mag is smaller than normal but significantly increases ADS speed. The Laser and Optic are flex slots, and I even like the default Scope in some situations.

FJX Imperium

The FJX Imperium is statistically very similar to the MCPR-300. It has a slightly faster Fire Rate and a somewhat slower Reload Speed. It’s great to be able to shoot a little quicker, but Reloading is a chore, so keep that in mind.

FJX Imperium Attachments

  • Laser: VLK LZR 7MW
  • Barrel: Fahrenheit 29″
  • Muzzle: Nilsound 90
  • Ammunition: .408 Explosive
  • Stock: FJX Kilo-TAC

The Laser gives a faster ADS Speed, although it’s also visible when you’re aiming, so keep that in mind. The Barrel increases our Bullet Velocity, which we really need with the Explosive Rounds. Like the MCPR, we use the Nilsound 90 for Bullet Velocity, and the Sound Suppression is a bonus.

SP-X 80

The SPX-80 is unique on this list as it requires Incendiary Ammunition instead. As it’s not Bolt-Action, the SP-X 80 has the fastest Fire Rate and ADS time, and Bullet Velocity is decent. The big downside is Incendiary Rounds will only kill a target in a single hit if they are 46 meters away or closer. The Explosive Builds we’ve looked at have no range limitations.

SP-X 80 Attachments

  • Laser: FSS OLE-V Laser
  • Muzzle: Nilsound 90
  • Ammunition: .300 Incendiary
  • Stock: Max DMR Precision
  • Optic: Personal preference

These attachments are geared toward Bullet Velocity and Damage Range. The Nilsound 90 once again makes an appearance, as it’s arguably the best Sniper Rifle Muzzle. If you want to Quick Scope, this is a superb Rifle to do it with.

Why didn’t you include a build for the Victus XMR?

The Victus XMR is a Bolt-Action Sniper Rifle with the Explosive Rounds that enable One Shot kills. Unfortunately, the weapon falls behind in every other department. Compared to the MCPR-300 and FJX Imperium, the Victus XMR has the slowest Fire Rate at a lowly 36RPM. Bullet Velocity is the slowest, making it even harder to land shots unless your opponent stands still.

To make matters worse, ADS and Sprint to Fire speeds are the slowest of the Bolt-Action Rifles. The Victus XMR can kill in a single hit, but it’s not as good as the other options.

What Perks and Equipment should I use?

Perks and Equipment fall to personal preference, but I recommend Overkill so you can fall back on an SMG if you need to fight close range. If you don’t like Overkill, we have guides on how to build the FTAC Siege and X13 Auto. Both are exceptional side arms with automatic fire. For Equipment, I swear by Smoke Grenades as they allow me to reset fights instantly and reposition. Drill Charges are amazing for pushing buildings, but if you’re more passive, you can’t go wrong with Frags or Semtex.
